This month seemed a natural home for BOLD. It’s a mid-summer month for many of us. And somehow summertime has become synonymous with adventuring and doing and crossing things off of bucket lists.  BOLDness speaks in color too. When we think of BOLD we often think of energetic and bright and happy hues. Color full of life and verve, reflecting days marked by heat, activity, sunshine and playfulness.

There are moments in our story where we are called to be BOLD. In action or thought. For ourselves or for others. To be BOLD is to DARE. To be ourselves, to be different, to be creative, or resourceful, or kind, or, or, or. Sometimes to be BOLD is simply to step outside our comfort zone. To break our own barriers. To do more.  But boldness isn’t always loud or dramatic or even obvious. Sometimes being BOLD is simply to be ourselves. Sometimes being BOLD is to overcome the odds in our own daily lives.

And so we challenge ourselves to think of all the little BOLD things too. The moments of shared family fun and goofy. The risks of play and trying new things. The road trips and hikes and swims in the sea. The moments when we speak truth. The moments we say “yes”. The moment when we do more. The moments when we believe in ourselves and cheer and encourage others to do the same.
