I was struck by something this week; when I smiled at someone… they smiled back.
Go figure, right? It happened every single time. Even people who had grumpy faces
would lift the corners of their mouth in a grin when I’d flash them a big smile.

When I lived abroad I always found that so strange. I would pass people on the sidewalk and smile and say, “good morning”… and people would look down and walk faster by me. SO STRANGE.
