I seriously did a ‘fist pump’ when Krista released this collection, Like a Boss. Last month, I celebrated my five year anniversary with my company as an Audit Manager (although I have 17 years total audit experience including lots of International auditing and living abroad in Europe). The Like a Boss collection was pivotal and an anthem in documenting my latest career accomplishment.
Also, if you are a fan of #Girlboss, then another ‘fist pump’ as we girls can roll it as our own boss to seek out the opportunities where we are talented and where we can flourish. You can check out a great read on the book here, if you are so inclined. The #Girlboss concept of empowering the next generation of female entrepreneurs inspired my project.
I used photos from a recent work trip a couple of weeks ago to Orlando, Florida where my boss flew in to present me with my five year plaque and work together on three audits in the Orlando area. It was already a very productive week with great conversation, future planning, and audits but also self-reflection of an internal high five for all the intense study and dedication to be where I am in my career.
I used wood veneer numbers randomly on my hybrid layout to highlight the ‘five years’. The Like a Boss Journal Cards are perfect for those tidbits of journaling. I used my vintage typewriter to add some journaling to a card.
I used the calendar from the elements in Like a Boss and a hole punch to punch out the month and day. For repetition, I also used a date stamp on another element from Like a Boss attached to the bottom of a journal card from Like a Boss Journal Cards. How inspiring is that phrase ‘reach your potential’?!
I agree ‘AMAZE YOURSELF, wake up and be awesome’. I have personally adopted this phrase as my new morning anthem.
Now, go get it ‘like a boss’!
