Butterfly Wall Art: Hybrid Home Decor
Posted on under Hybrid Projects
Hello, Sahlin Studio friends and fans! I’ve got a super easy framed hybrid home decor piece to share with you today. My oldest daughter had asked me to make something for her bathroom and with her “direction” this is what I came up with.
Sahlin Studio supplies used: Like a Boss.
My daughter wanted the art piece to have a neutral palette and she ended up choosing this gorgeous tonal paper from the FABULOUS digital kit above.
I started by printing out three of the digital papers using one for my background and the other two for all the butterflies. I ended up doubling up on the butterflies to give the project more dimension so there are actually twenty-four butterflies that were used. After adhering the butterflies I added a small jewel and was done. Super easy and baby girl absolutely LOVED it!
The whole project was really easy to put together, and the butterflies can be easily switched with hearts or flowers, or anything else that would better suit your home decor needs.
Traditional supplies used to create my butterfly wall art:
Neenah Creative Collection (metallic cardstock)
Martha Stewart (butterfly punch)
Studio G (jewels)
Tombo Mono (adhesive)
